To whom it may concern,

I am pleased to recommend TestOptimal as a powerful tool in the emerging area of model based testing. Over the past 14 months TestOptimal has proven to provide excellent tools and efficient and friendly support.

During the initial pilot project TestOptimal provided the test team with the ability to complete automated progression testing of a large web based medical results portal. This enabled the test team to achieve over 90% coverage of requirements with automated tests and provide an improvement in release turnaround times of over 60%. Based on the success of the initial pilot project the TestOptimal ProMBT tools have been deployed to all our project teams with excellent results.

For Software development teams looking for a cost effective way to reduce testing times and improve quality I would recommend TestOptimal without hesitation.

Kind Regards

In my opinion, TestOptimal is the easist MBT tool. I did a hands-on part of the workshop with help of Vincent (2 hours). About 40 people attended the workshop. They were creating their first model with TestOptimal and running it (in 2 hours). I saw that about 20 of them were still busy with modelling 1 hour after the workshop was finished. ... All of them were surprised about the ease of using the tool.

Maintainability: When requirements change, TestOptimal is a far quicker way to update 100's of test cases. No need to re-record scripts.

Dynamically create manual test cases, output them as spreadsheets or web pages. A quicker and better way of generating manual test cases.

TestOptimal takes Behaviour Driven Developement (BDD) Testing to another dimension. BDD's Given - When - Then statements are easily converted to TestOptimals finite state machines. For Given - When - Then statements, TestOptimal is a better way of having different permutations, chaining statements together and using different data combinations. TestOptimal builds on benefit of BDDs to create a more powerful way of testing.

TestOptimal allows you to adjust the amount of testing certain actions undergo in your tests (weights). With guard statements, you manage the differening consequences of the same action in a different context.

People talk about navigating through a web site or a program. TestOptimal makes this easier to see through its inbuilt graphical model representations. Plus you can see a graphical animation of the path you take through a system when developing tests

I think the feature I like in TestOptimal is the facility with which you can exercise a software in different ways from a given test model. The navigation is 'dynamic' (you can change the sequencer engine easily) compared to other 'static' scripting tools. And exercising a SUT dynamically provides better coverage then repeating the same scripts every time.
