Requirements View

»Menu: Model / Requirements View

Requirements View is a floating window within Model Editor that displays and manage requirements imported from file or external requirements system. You must have configured the integration with your requirement system using ALM Configuration (rel. 4.3).


  • clicking on a requirement row highlights the states and transitions that cover the requirement either in State Property or Transition Property or any of the mscript triggers associated with the state/transition.
  • double clicking a requirement row to open the requirement details in a popup window.
  • clicking on Coverage button highlights the requirements with different color based on the coverage: green for covered and yellow for uncovered.
  • clicking on Sync button to retrieve the requirements from the requirements source system and display the changes
    • checkbox - for requirements that have been changed since last sync. Use the checkbox to select requirements and the changes to imported into the model.
    • Status column - shows the status of the requirements: approved or reviewed. If the status has changed since last sync operation, the status column will be colored in orange
    • Flag column - shows the type of change(s) has occurred to the requirement: added, retired, changed.
    • Import & Save button - import the changes and new requirements with checkbox checked.
  • hovering over the requirement row will show the requirement description and the coverage status in a hover message window.
  • click Coverage button to highlight requirement coverage status for each requirement tag. Green color indicates covered by the model and orange color indicates requirements have not been covered by the model.
